Nintendo is hosting a new Direct conference ahead of this week’s Gamescom event in Germany.
The August 2019 Nintendo Direct will focus on new indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch.
The “Nindies” live stream showcase has a 2pm BST start time and will run for approximately 20 minutes.
And as you can see from the tweet below, fans are in store for some major surprises.
According to industry insider Daniel Ahmad, Nintendo will reveal another Xbox One port for Nintendo Switch.
If recent leaks are anything to go by, this is almost certainly going to be an official reveal for Ori and the Blind Forest.
A Nintendo Switch port for Ori and the Blind Forest has been on the cards for some time, especially with Microsoft games like Cuphead and Super Lucky’s Tale having previously launched on the console.
Ahmad also suggests that two games will be shadow dropped, which means they’ll launch later today.
There’s also a chance that we’ll get release dates for Creature in the Well, Blasphemous, Northgard, Trine 4, One Finger Death Punch 2, Skellboy and more.
Check back later for the Nintendo Direct “Nindies” showcase, which will be embedded in this article.
Ori and the Blind Forest is a 2D platforming game with a colourful art style.
“The forest of Nibel is dying,” reads the official description. “After a powerful storm sets a series of devastating events in motion, Ori must journey to find courage and confront a dark nemesis to save the forest of Nibel.
“Ori and the Blind Forest tells the tale of a young orphan destined for heroics, through a visually stunning Action-Platformer crafted by Moon Studios.
“Featuring hand-painted artwork, meticulously animated character performance, a fully orchestrated score and dozens of new features in the Definitive Edition, Ori and the Blind Forest explores a deeply emotional story about love and sacrifice, and the hope that exists in us all.”
