Everything you need to know about COD MW3 and Warzone Season 5.
A month after Season 4 Reloaded, Activision has revealed the much-awaited Season 5 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. Season 5 will bring new 6v6 maps to MW3, free weapons, Aftermarket parts, and Valeria and Ivan Alexxeve as Battle Pass Operators. The new season’s big surprise addition includes WWE superstars Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes, and Rey Mysterio.
Meanwhile, Warzone players can visit the Superstore in Urzikstan, and compete in new modes like Superstore Resurgence and Supreme Resurgence on Rebirth Island. New public events and a new Ranked Play season are also going live this season.
It’s a lot to digest, but we’ve gathered the biggest changes you need to know about for both games in COD Season 5.

COD MW3 and Warzone Season 5 Release Time
The Season 5 update for COD MW3 and Warzone drops on July 24, 2024, at 9 am PT. Here’s what that means in your time zone:

Here is everything coming to COD MW3 in Season 5:
New Maps
- Bait – 6v6 Map

New Game Modes
- Slam Deathmatch – Eliminate opponents by using WWE finishing moves (available during WWE SummerSlam event, starting on July 31)
- Arcade Playlist – New abilities include Ground Slam and Forcefield

The new season will also bring a new game mode called COD Warrior. Three teams of two people (2v2v2) will compete in the following 15 minigames:
- Beat Up the Car! – 60 seconds
- Breacher Ball! -60 seconds
- Bullet Time! -60 seconds
- Fire! – 30 seconds
- Don’t Fire! – 15 seconds
- Drone Wars! -60 seconds
- Fragged! -60 seconds
- The Hunt! -60 seconds

New Weapons
Five new power weapons are being added to COD this season:
- Sledgehammer Melee: Increased knockback ability
- Minigun: Battle Rage ability
- MORS Sniper Rifle: Explosive knockback effect
- TYR Pistol: Akimbo Snakeshot Dragon’s Breath
- Push Dagger Melee: Big lunge ability
- EMP Grenade: Disables enemy electronics and disrupts enemy sensors

The following new rewards will be added to COD MW3 Season 5:
Season 5 Competitor Rewards
- 5 Wins: “MW3 Season 5 Competitor” Weapon Sticker
- 10 Wins: “Pro Re-Issue MCW” Weapon Blueprint
- 25 Wins: “Smell of Victory” Weapon Charm
- 50 Wins: “MW3 SR Monster” Weapon Decal
- 75 Wins: “MW3 Ranked Play Season 5” Loading Screen
- 100 Wins: “MW3 Season 5 Ranked Veteran Weapon Camo
Season 5 Skill Division Rewards
The end-of-season rewards include Bronze, Silver, Gold, Crimson, Diamond, and Iridescent tier weapon emblems and charms. There are also new emblems and calling card rewards for ending up in the Top 250.
COD Warzone Season 5 Road Map – Game Modes, Rewards, and New Content

The Atlas Superstore in Urzikstan will house a new arsenal for players dropping into the warzone. This includes perk sets, rare weapons, armor plates, and more. The store is located in the upper central-eastern side of Urzikstan, just south of the Orlov Military Base.
The following new content is being added to COD Warzone in Season 5.

New Warzone Rewards
- Get 25 Kills or Assists: “WZ Season 5 Competitor” Weapon Sticker
- Get 250 Kills or Assists: “WZ Ranked Play Season 5” Loading Screen
- Get 1,000 Kills or Assists: “WZ Season 5 Ranked Veteran” Weapon Camo
- Place in the Top 15, 25 times: “SR Monster” Weapon Decal
- Place in the Top 5, 25 times: “Pro Issue SOA Subverter” Weapon Blueprint
- Place 1st: “Straight Fire” Weapon Charm
Like MW3, the end-of-season rewards also include Bronze, Silver, Gold, Crimson, Diamond, and Iridescent tier weapon emblems and charms. The reward system for Warzone introduced in Season 4 reloaded continues with four new categories of rewards – Combat Expertise, Cooperation, Mobility, and Redacted.
After completing all four challenges per category, players can earn a mastery reward Weapon Blueprint – the “Sports Icon” Bruen MK9 LMG. For more information about COD Season 5, check out the official COD blog post.
Blizzard is sending one-month PC Game Pass trial codes to customers, and those codes must be redeemed by the end of July 24, 2024. This has led many players to speculate that COD MW3 may be added to Xbox Game Pass on the same day as Season 5 drops. If that’s true, then combined with the breadth of content coming to Season 5, there’s a lot that new players have to look forward to.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and COD Warzone are available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. COD Warzone Mobile is available on iOS and Android.
