Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 PC system requirements revealed

1

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 closed beta test is taking place this weekend, which means publisher Activision has confirmed the full PC specs requirements. The good news is that if you were able to run last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 without any problems, your PC should be able to handle the latest entry in the CoD franchise.

Activision’s minimum and recommended specs for Black Ops 6 show that even PCs packing aging hardware aren’t excluded. Just an Nvidia GTX 960/GTX 1650 or an AMD RX 470 graphics card will do, combined with at least an Intel Core i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400.

Users also need 8GB of RAM and 149 GB of SSD space (or 78 GB, if CoD HQ and Warzone are already installed). That’s no small number, but better than the previously rumored 300 GB requirement, and the same as last year’s game.

Black Ops 6’s recommended specs are fairly forgiving. Just a GTX 1080 Ti, RTX 3060, Radeon RX 6600XT, or Intel Arc A770 is needed, along with an Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X. The memory requirement goes up to 16GB.

The next CoD game is comprised of three different modes, all of which require the same PC specs. There’s the campaign, which is described as offering dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay featuring blockbuster set pieces, action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.

There’s also the classic multiplayer mode. It will include 16 maps at launch: 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6. Activision says a more traditional Prestige system – the classic version from older Call of Duty games – is returning. It offers 10 Prestige tiers that each cap out at level 55. After players complete all these tiers, they go on to a Prestige Mastery system with 1,000 levels.

Back Ops 6 also sees the return of Round-based zombies. There will be two maps available at launch, with more to follow post-launch.

Black Ops 6’s closed beta began on August 30. It will be available for Game Pass subscribers and anyone who pre-ordered the game on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The open beta takes place between September 6 and September 9.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available to preorder now ahead of the October 25 release date. There are a couple editions to choose from, our link can help you choose the right Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 version for you.
