Xbox Live Gold members will soon have two new games to download for free on Xbox One.
Games with Gold titles are launched in waves, with the next being released in the coming days.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 will soon be replaced on Xbox One with another title, with the date set for April 16.
This is when Outcast – Second Contact will be joining the Gold lineup alongside the Technomancer.
So if you haven’t added Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 to your collection yet, today might be the time to do it.
Outcast has an age rating of 12+ and is small enough a download to fit onto most Xbox One consoles.
Outcast – Second Contact is a remake of the cult title Outcast, the first 3D open-world game in video game history, according to the Microsoft description.
You play as Cutter Slade, a tried and tested elite soldier, sent on a last-resort mission to an alien planet.
Outcast – Second Contact has a limited amount of reviews on Metacritic, making it hard to gauge its average ranking with gamers.
It will be joined on April 16 with Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 for Xbox 360.
It will take the place of Star Wars Battlefront II, so any die-hard fans will want to add the original Xbox title to their library today.
Advanced Warfighter 2 is a tactical shooter that lets you command a unit of specialised soldiers on missions complete with dynamic weather conditions and a real-time day and night cycle.
Gamers have 72 hours to defeat the enemy across mountainous terrain, small towns and urban environments, a somewhat unique feature when the game was first launched.
When it was first launched in 2013, Advanced Warfighter 2 earned solid review scores from critics and users on Metacritic.
It achieved 66 positive scores, 11 mixed and ten negative ratings, making for an average 7.9 out of 10.
Xbox Live Gold subscribers also have access to a range of new discounts from the store.
Deals with Gold titles can have as much as 75% off, with the Zombie Army Trilogy going as high as 80% off.
These new deals will be available until late on Monday evening and will then be replaced by a new range of titles soon after.
