Here’s all the latest games arriving to and departing from Xbox Game Pass.
Xbox Game Pass is a moving tapestry of video games. Each month, a shiny array of new titles debut on the platform, while others depart with a brief wave. For as long as subscribers maintain an active subscription, the Xbox Game Pass library is open for exploration, with plenty of gems waiting to be found.
In the second half of August 2024, three new games are taking the spotlight, including a revamped version of Atlas Fallen, which now features new voice acting, a reworked campaign, and new boss monsters to take down.
It’s joined by crafting adventure Core Keeper and driving sim Star Trucker, but the real headliner here is that Game Pass will provide access to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta this month. From 30 August, players will be able to jump in to try out the game’s new maps, weapons, and gadgets, and this should give an ample taste ahead of its launch on PC, console, and via Game Pass on 25 October.
Xbox Game Pass: New games for August 2024
Here’s all the games coming to Xbox Games Pass in the later half of August and early September 2024.
- Atlas Fallen (Xbox Series X/S, PC, Cloud) – Available 22 August: “Unleash the storm in this open world action-RPG adventure, enriched by the recently released major free update, Reign of Sand.”
- Core Keeper (Xbox Series X/S, PC, Cloud) – Available 27 August: “Dive into Core Keeper, an underground adventure where you shape your journey. Craft, build, and explore in a dynamic world.”
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (Beta) – Available 30 August: “Feel Omnimovement for yourself, explore several brand-new core 6v6 maps, and try out new weapons and gadgets.”
- Star Trucker (Console, PC, Cloud) – Available 3 September: “Hop into the driver’s seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage, and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road – space!”
You can also now download and play Creatures of Ava, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and Mafia: Definitive, all of which launched earlier in the month.
Those on Game Pass Core will be able to play the following new games from 21 August: Cities: Skylines, Control: Ultimate Edition, and SnowRunner.
Xbox Game Pass: Game departures for August 2024
The following titles will leave Xbox Game Pass on 31 August:
- Atomic Heart
- Guilty Gear -Strive-
- NBA 2K24
As always, you’ll be able to purchase these games at a discount if you’re keen to keep playing them after they depart Xbox Game Pass.
