Bring your worlds to life with YOUR characters, campaigns, and novels. Back now for exclusive rewards and shape your adventure.
Indie developer Jescelyn Griswold has announced the upcoming launch of World Weave, a new AI-powered fantasy storytelling and roleplay platform designed for tabletop fans, writers, and creators who want to live inside the worlds they imagine.
Built over the course of a year, World Weave was born from a familiar frustration in the tabletop roleplaying community: flaky schedules, burned-out Dungeon Masters, and the difficulty of coordinating long-form collaborative stories. Instead of replacing traditional roleplaying, World Weave offers a new way to experience it—on demand, solo or shared, powered by custom AI characters and campaigns.

“At its core, World Weave exists because I wanted to actually live the stories I was creating,” says the app’s creator. “I love D&D, fantasy novels, and BookTok-style character-driven stories—but real-life logistics kept getting in the way. World Weave became my answer to that.”
A Living World, Powered by AI
World Weave allows users to create fully custom AI characters, build campaigns, and interact with their worlds through immersive chat-based storytelling. Characters remember events, relationships evolve, and campaigns can be shared, forked, or expanded by others. The platform emphasizes creativity and agency rather than rigid rulesets, making it accessible to both seasoned roleplayers and newcomers.
Key features include:
AI-powered fantasy characters with persistent memory
Campaign creation and long-form story progression
Custom cosmetics such as avatar borders and chat bubbles
Community sharing of worlds and story templates
The app is currently in closed testing, with early access being offered through an upcoming Kickstarter campaign.

Kickstarter Launch and Community-Driven Development
World Weave’s Kickstarter will fund continued development, server infrastructure, and new systems such as character progression, campaign depth tools, and community-driven features. Higher-tier backers will have the opportunity to permanently leave their mark on the platform by naming eras, seasons, or world templates used by future players.
“This isn’t just about funding an app, It’s about building a shared storytelling space where creators feel seen, remembered, and empowered.”
Who World Weave Is For ?
World Weave is aimed at:
Tabletop RPG fans who want to play without scheduling barriers
Writers and worldbuilders seeking interactive storytelling tools
BookTok and fantasy readers who want to step inside their favorite tropes
Solo roleplayers and collaborative storytellers alike
The closed beta is expected to expand following the Kickstarter campaign, with public access planned later in development.
