Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded brings a St. Patrick’s Day event and through it, players can get their hands on a one-shot Sniper Rifle.
Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah is getting a St. Patrick’s overhaul to celebrate the holiday and along with the water turning green, players will finally get access to one-shot Sniper Rifles in Season 2 Reloaded.
Sniping was one of the most powerful playstyles throughout the entirety of Warzone 1 and the devs knew it, removing the one-shot headshot capability from Marksman Rifles. However, in Warzone 2, Infinity Ward made the controversial decision to completely remove the one-shot headshot ability from snipers, even taking it away when it accidentally arrived.
The devs teased that one-shot Sniper Rifles would finally arrive in Season 2 Reloaded, but with a major catch. In a creator call ahead of Season 2, the devs confirmed that a one-shot sniper would only arrive through a specific game mode.
With Season 2 Reloaded and the St. Patrick’s day event now here, the devs have hidden the highly requested one-shot Sniper Rifle in a fabled location.
With St. Patrick’s day arriving only a couple of days after Season 2 Reloaded, the devs are celebrating by turning Al Mazrah’s water green and having a rainbow on the map. As revealed by the devs ahead of Season 2 Reloaded, a one-shot Sniper Rifle can be found “near the rainbow.”
The patch notes teased: “You never know what you might find at the end of the rainbow… but you’ve got “one-shot” to find out if luck is on your side in Al Mazrah!”
This was already hinted at through the blog, with the devs teasing that “a rainbow can be seen over the arid land, with legend foretelling of something truly treasurable – if only for a single match – on the other side.”
The exact requirements remain to be seen but investigate the end of the St. Patrick’s rainbow in Al Mazrah and you might come across the powerful Sniper Rifle to help you dominate long-range fights. We’ll be sure to let you know exactly how to get the one-shot sniper once it has been found.
