Twitch streamer LowTierGod is now banned, marking the latest popular online streamer to join the ranks of Twitch’s banned channels.

Twitch has recently banned yet another streamer, this time setting its sights on the controversial fighting game streamer known as LowTierGod. LowTierGod has been banned on various platforms in the past, including YouTube. His Twitch channel is now the latest to be banned. This ban comes just over a month after his account was unbanned back in March 2023.

LowTierGod has been an online personality for years, making waves as a huge trash-talker in the fighting game community. Since his online debut, LowTierGod has been embroiled in a number of controversies, including his hostile back-and-forth with another notable member of the fighting game community, Viscant. What makes his online presence so interesting to viewers is his overconfident personality, despite his typically low rankings in the various tournaments and events he attends. Another reason LowTierGod is consistently brought up is his extreme reactions, similar to other streamers like xQc.

The news of LowTierGod’s recent Twitch ban was shared on April 28th in a Twitter post from the automated StreamerBans account, which keeps up with the latest users to be banned from Twitch. LowTierGod’s ban isn’t astounding to fans of the fighting game community familiar with his past, although it does mark yet another streamer ban from Twitch in recent months. The exact reasoning for the ban is unknown.

Fans responded to the tweet with various reactions, including both confusion about the specific reason for the ban and resentment towards the Twitch staff responsible. One fan asked “what did he do this time,” to which other commenters didn’t seem to have a response. Yet another audience member stated that “Twitch is speedrunning their demise,” marking a growing resentment among fans of the streaming service that’s been present for some time. LowTierGod’s ban marks yet another popular streamer to be banned by Twitch, following the recent ban that Kai Cenat was subject to just ten days prior.

Twitch has been making headlines recently, usually resulting from a streamer being banned or losing a streamer to another alternative streaming site. While LowTierGod’s ban hardly comes as a surprise for people familiar with the controversial fighting game community member, it’s arguably unexpected as he’s recently departed from his typical personality for a more level-headed and reasonable type of behavior. Although many streamers are only banned temporarily, LowTierGod’s recent banning marks yet another popular streamer to be banned by Twitch. While Twitch has yet to address the growing trend of banning its various streamers, popular or not, it’s clear that LowTierGod’s recent ban isn’t the only one. LowTierGod’s ban will be active for an undisclosed amount of time.
