Game Geeks News is proud to bring you another great gaming project currently running on Kickstarter. Jim pinto is a 20-year veteran of the gaming industry, having written roleplaying games, board games, card games, a novel, comic books, and even screenplays. He’s even won awards for writing, graphic design, art direction, and one dog show. His career includes roles in art, design, production, publishing, and writing, covering nearly every aspect of game design. Jim and PostWorldGames have launched their biggest Praxis Kickstarter ever and are reaching out to the gaming community for your help in bringing this campaign to life. There are four complete games, plus a few expansion games, with the preview of another expansion game if all goes well.

This project is a big net of games and products for the Praxis line. Most of the work is completed, minus some stretch goals here and there. We have listed just a few of the games below, but be sure to check out this amazing Kickstarter for the complete run down.

The Carcass: Broken Sky is a post-apocalyptic game about a community on the verge of collapse. After the death of the tribal leader, the people of Haristan look to the characters for guidance. And salvation. But with food supplies low and rivals watching for the community to break apart, it’s only a matter of time before everyone is dead or dying. This is a stand-alone game.

Devil’s Maze is a game about an experimental prison and its gatekeepers. Players take on the roles of the administrators, guards, psychologist, and warden keeping the entire system running smoothly. That is until a mysterious prisoner arrives, bent on ruining everything.

Somewhere lost to time and place is a dark and foreboding land named the Harpy Fields. It is a place of suffering and woe, where troubled people find themselves at the end of their proverbial rope. Here, the land takes them.

Forever.

What these tortured people never realize is the Harpy Fields do not let anyone rest. Here, the souls of the dead are anchored and forced to endure the magnitude of their offences against the gods.

Or whatever forsaken spirits rule over this place.

In Harpy Fields, characters are rotting spirits and shambling undead punished eternally for their sins. Here, they languish. Their last remaining hope is to one day find a release from their eternal cycle.

This game is tangentially related to Black Monk, but it is purposely not part of that world because the Supernals do not make an appearance. You are welcome to include.

This game is adult-oriented.

In Dirty Cops the characters are members of a police force with a less than a moral sense of responsibility to the people they serve. In fact, the cops in El Centro have a privileged sense of right and wrong. Anyone brought in for questioning tells the truth, or wakes up in a bloody cell with a bloodied face. Overstepping their bounds is standard practice and beatings are always an option too.

The cops are just as dirty as the criminals. They take bribes, sell information to pushers, and generally keep a close watch on the criminals doing them the most favours.

So what happens when an investigation stumbles into territory other dirty cops are trying to cover up? Maybe someone is ready to squeal to protect his own ass? And maybe the ambitious prosecutor is looking to nail someone’s to the wall for something she does on the regular?

What happens when the dirty fingers start to point even dirtier guns?

(This is an expansion game and requires the ownership of at least one Praxis game).

In Geneva’s Children, the characters are anarchists and idealists dedicated to a better way of life for everyone. They live in an age where social media and technology give everyone a soapbox, which is akin to giving everyone a megaphone… a cacophony so loud, no one can hear anyone else. The volume silences all the good messages, allowing inequality and corruption to normalize. Toxicity is the new normal. Where protest should end the day, late-night hosts turn the world’s decay into punchlines. Anarchy seems the only option for those who need their voices heard — an outlet for the rage.

The characters are these tools of anarchy. They’ve had enough. If good people feel powerless, better people must stand up and do what’s right. Wrestle money and power from those who have made greed the watchword of the day.

What would modern-day Robin Hoods do to reset the economic clock and social scales?

(This is an expansion game and requires the ownership of at least one Praxis game).

There are so many other titles available in this big Kickstarter Bundle, so be sure to check them all out here. Pledges start from as little as $9 which gets you one of these amazing titles in PDF format along with any stretched goals. There are also four expansion game packs available as long as you already own one of PostWorldGames titles, so if you’re into tabletop games and RPGs, then get yourself over to their Kickstarter page now.
