It’s all part of the Epic Games Store Holiday Sale, which features discounts, bonuses and free game giveaways. The first game to be given away for free is Lord of the Rings Return to Moria, which is available from now until 4pm GMT on December 19.
Lord of the Rings Return to Moria will be replaced by another high-profile game release on Thursday afternoon.
Epic Games will continue the promotion by giving away a free game every day until the end of the year.
In order to nab your free game, simply visit the Epic Games Store and create or login to your account. Visit the Lord of the Rings Return to Moria store page and click ‘GET’ to add it to your library.
Once you’ve added it to your account, Return to Moria is yours to keep forever.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is an interesting and unique take on the survival/crafting genre.
As the name suggests, you play as a group of Dwarves who return to Moria and reclaim it for their own.
Playable solo or with friends, you’ll venture into the procedurally generated depths in order to mine its treasure and rebuild your home.
Needless to say, you’ll also come face-to-face with some Middle-earth monsters along the way. This includes Goblins, Orcs and Cave Trolls.
