Suicide Squad Unlikely to Drop Live Service Elements

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Will Retain Its Core Elements.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been the talk of the town since its State of Play trailer, but for all the wrong reasons. The game was confirmed to be a live-service title which fans obviously didn’t want. Plus, the mediocre-looking graphics and basic gameplay also attracted a lot of hate. It was revealed earlier that the game would be delayed due to the criticism, however, it doesn’t seem the live service elements are going anywhere.

Suicide Squad Is Likely to Keep Its Core Elements Intact

Bloomberg reporter, Jason Schreier, recently revealed the delay to Suicide Squad. Jeff Grubb further stated there might be an even bigger delay that could push the title to 2024. While Rocksteady hasn’t announced it, Schreier now claims a potential 2024 delay. But the highlight of Schreier’s Tweet is that the core game would still be the same.

Changing the entire gameplay at this point was already out of question due to the years that game development takes. But, many gamers were hoping that Rocksteady at least drops the live service elements of Suicide Squad. The same journalist earlier also claimed that the delay is only to polish a few aspects of the title.

The news would be less infuriating for the fans hoping for more from Rocksteady. After the disappointment that Warner Bros’ Gotham Knights was, fans had expected a lot more. However, nothing has been made official from the developers themselves, so it’s better to keep an eye out for that.
