Rockstar is working to fix a raft of issues caused by the latest Red Dead Online patch.
Issues caused by Red Dead Online’s 1.21 title update include connection problems and low animal spawns.
“We are aware some players may currently be experiencing a range of issues including connection problems, low animal spawn counts, difficulty pitching Camps, entering Moonshine shacks and others,” Rockstar said on its website.
“We are currently developing fixes to address these and will share more information as it is available.”
Recent issues with Red Dead Online have gone viral on social media, with various hilarious glitches catching the eye. Players are calling Red Dead Online a ghost town because of disappearing animals and characters. Those animals that remain may be broken, too.

The issues come at a difficult time for Red Dead Online. In July Rockstar released Red Dead Online’s first big update since December of 2019. Players had become so fed up with the lack of meaningful updates that they dressed up as clowns and got together in-game to stage a sort of virtual protest. This week Rockstar dropped the 1.21 update, which was designed to fix issues with the game. Unfortunately it had the opposite effect, causing yesterday’s outcry.
