Rebirth Island Set to Return in Season 3 for MW3 & Warzone

The fan-favorite Call of Duty: Warzone map Rebirth Island is making its return.

Call of Duty has been listening to the community in Modern Warfare 3, as they have been re-releasing old fan-favorite maps. This is not only limited to Modern Warfare 3 featuring all of the original maps from Modern Warfare 2, but it’s also happening in Warzone. Season 2 saw the return of Fortune’s Keep with the introduction of Warzone Ranked Play: Resurgence. To make it even better, dataminers have just found some information that may point to the return of Rebirth Island.

Rebirth Island Returns

While it hasn’t been officially confirmed by Activision, data miners have found multiple references to “s3_rebirth” in the game files following the Season 2 Reloaded update.

We already know that Rebirth Island is returning to Warzone in “early 2024”, after Activision announced that at the COD: NEXT event last year. However, fans were not expecting it to come this soon.

By looking at the Season 2 Battle Pass, we can predict the release date of Season 3 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. If everything goes to plan, Season 3 should launch on April 3, 2024.

Rebirth Island will join Fortune’s Keep, Vondel and Ashika Island in the Warzone Resurgence map pool when it drops. However, it’s unclear if Rebirth Island will be a straight replica of the map we know and love, or if there will be some changes. Fortune’s Keep received a makeover when it was added in Season 2, with changes to the map layout, hot spots, and even the Points of Interest.

It will be interesting to see if Rebirth Island receives the same treatment. However, Warzone fans can rejoice now, knowing that Rebirth is definitely coming back soon.
