gamers have been dealt a blow as one of the top upcoming exclusives could also be getting released on the .

The PS4 has been the best selling console of this generation, and that’s arguably down to its great selection of exclusive games.

From God of War, to Horizon Zero Dawn, to Bloodborne, to Marvel’s Spider-Man, to Persona 5 – there are so many great PS4 exclusives to choose from.

Sony also has a number of high-profile exclusives in the pipelines for the PS4, which are Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima and Last of Us 2.

But another upcoming exclusive, which is arguably just as big as these trio of titles, could also be appearing on the Xbox One in the future.

At the moment the PS4 is the only console that the highly anticipated Final Fantasy 7 Remake is confirmed as coming to.

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake was first announced during Sony’s E3 2015 event, and was one of the major headlines from that conference.

Since then the Final Fantasy 7 Remake has made an appearance during a PSX event and lately re-emerged in a State of Play broadcast.

That Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer teased more information would be coming in June, likely during the Square Enix E3 event.

It’s expected that a release date for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be revealed then, with a launch rumoured for late 2019 or early 2020.

And, according to a listing on a GameStop website, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will also be coming to the Xbox One at some point.

The GameStop Ireland website has an Xbox One listing for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

The listing was spotted by members of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Reddit page who highlighted it in a post online.

More details on a possible Xbox One version of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake may be revealed at E3 2019.

But it does seem that it was previously hinted the Final Fantasy 7 Remake was going to be a timed PS4 exclusive as opposed to a fully-fledged one.

Back when the Final Fantasy 7 Remake was first revealed in 2015 the trailer said at the end “play it first on PlayStation 4”.

That message seemed to hint the Final Fantasy 7 Remake would be coming to the PS4 before arriving on other formats.
