PS4 owners have been treated to some fantastic free games news this weekend, as one of 2018’s finest releases gets a free version.
The excellent Hitman 2 is now available as a free download over on the PlayStation Store.
The Hitman 2 Free Starter Pack contains the New Zealand level in its entirety.
Not only can you play through the story mission, but you can also attempt all of the challenges and mastery levels associated with the level.
Sony explains more: “Gain free access to the first mission in Hitman 2!
“Travel to New Zealand and join Agent 47 on his hunt for the elusive Shadow Client, only to find himself caught in a dangerous turn of events. Can you get out alive?
“Get familiar with the unique replayability of Hitman 2 by creatively experimenting, improvising, and completing all the challenges that Hawke’s Bay has to offer.”
If you enjoy the Free Starter Pack and want to experience more, your progress will carry over to the full release.
If you hurry, you can even download the Complete First Season for free with your PlayStation Plus subscription.
Hitman: The Complete First Season joins For Honor as the free PS Plus games for February.
You can even transfer your Hitman First Season content to the full Hitman 2 release, letting you access the entire experience in one place.
The February 2019 PlayStation Plus free games are only available until March 5, so you’d better hurry.
The February free games will be replaced by a new batch of PS4 titles for March.
Announced earlier this week, the March 2019 PS Plus lineup includes Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and The Witness.
Unfortunately, however, no new PS3 or PlayStation Vita games will be added to the list.
Instead, PS Plus subscribers have until March 8 to download the current batch of PS3 and Vita games.
PS3 owners can download Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots and Divekick, while the Vita lineup includes Funhouse and Rogue Aces.
Hopefully Sony will start to offer PSVR and PlayLink games to make up for the lack of PS3 and Vita releases.
