PS Plus subscribers could be in store for an extra special bonus in June 2019.

The next batch of PlayStation Plus games will be revealed on Wednesday, May 29 at 4.30pm UK time.

While the identity of the free games remains a mystery, one leak suggests that an additional bonus may be released in the month of June.

According to a recent post on Reddit, PS Plus subscribers will be able to download a demo for Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PS4.

The demo – which is the same one that will allegedly be playable on the E3 showroom floor – will be available as a free download, provided you’ve got a PlayStation Plus subscription.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is likely to be showcased during the Square Enix E3 stream, which will go live at 2am UK time on Tuesday, June 11. US viewers can tune in at 6pm PDT on June 10.

The game could also make an appearance during the inevitable Sony E3 State of Play broadcast during the same week.

If the recent leak turns out to be true, then Square Enix will announce that the game will only be split into two parts and not three.

Much like the original, the upcoming remake is said to have a seamless overworld map, although it will be divided into different zones.

Vehicles will also be available, including the Tiny Bronco and Chocobos.

There’s also said to be a real push to make every town and location feel “lived in” and unique.

As for PlayStation Plus, subscribers only have a short time left to download the May batch of PS4 free games.

This includes co-op arcade title Overcooked and the excellent What Remains of Edith Finch.

Described as a “collection of strange tales about a family”, What Remains of Edith Finch sees players explore an old house discovering its secrets.

Overcooked, on the other hand, sees players work together to cook and serve dishes before the timer runs out and in increasingly bizarre locations.
