Sony PlayStation has released new PS Plus freebies ahead of the big March 2019 PS4 announcement.
We’re just days away from finding out what will be replacing the likes of Hitman and For Honor as part of the PlayStation Plus subscription.
So far there have been no leaks to suggest what is being revealed later this month, or what other rewards might be included.
But ahead of the big reveal, we have found out about one new PS Plus reward available to download right now.
Before the new PS Plus games are announced, Sony has launched a new exclusive piece of gear for H1Z1.
The free-to-player Battle Royale shooter recently saw a big update, with Season 3 content now available on PS4.
This includes two new game modes to try out, the debut of Ranked Leaderboards, a full redesign of the front-end UI, and a 100 tier Battle Pass.
“The first mode of its kind in H1Z1, FFA blows up the standard Deathmatch meta with a massive spectacle of non-stop action and carnage. 50 PLAYERS will drop into a tight combat zone fully kitted up, with INSTANT RESPAWN and a rotating arsenal of weaponry combining to inject H1Z1’s trademark fast-paced combat into an epic free-for-all experience unlike any other on PS4,” the message from DayBreak reads.
“Matches are timed at 15 minutes but keep your head on a swivel: the first to 25 kills takes home the crown! FFA launches this season as an unranked mode that tallies your kills at the end of each match, but will eventually be added to our new seasonal leaderboards. And 50-player matches are just the beginning: Teams and 100+ players per match are in the works.”
All of this is available to download now on PS4, and there is another thing worth checking out if you’re a fan.
The exclusive H1Z1: Bandit Pack is available to download from the PlayStation Store and includes some noteworthy items.
The new pack includes the Bandit AK-47, Name Card Frame, Icon, and Background and 2 Master’s Coin.
For those that don’t know, Master’s Coins can be used to purchase Master’s Crates, which offer special rewards.
This means that anyone with a PlayStation Plus account has a chance at grabbing the new Hazmat Outfit and Provoke emote for free.
There are other H1Z1 bundles available on the PlayStation Store, but this will be the only free download.
There doesn’t appear to be a time limit for this PlayStation Plus pack to be claimed, meaning it will be available when the new March games are announced.
This will happen on Wednesday, just a day before the end of the month but before the official digital store refresh.
Sony favour announcing their PS Plus games on the last Wednesday of the month but don’t set the new items live straight afterwards.
Instead, PS Plus subscriber can expect the new collection of titles to be made available on the first Tuesday of the new month.
This would be March 5, unless otherwise stated by Sony in their upcoming announcement.
