In a heartwarming video, popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys records herself giving away over $10,000 to smaller streamers.

Twitch streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys donated over $10,000 to smaller streamers. She recently turned 27 years old, and as part of her celebration, she uploaded a heartwarming YouTube video where she surprised various Twitch streamers.

Pokimane is one of the biggest female Twitch streamers with over 9.3 million followers. When she’s not playing games and streaming, she’s busy being the chief creative officer and co-founder of RTS talent management, and creative director of clothing brand Cloak. Even though Pokimane isn’t streaming regularly anymore, she still interacts with her fans through TikTok videos, Instagram Stories, and YouTube vlogs.

On May 14, which was Pokimane’s birthday, she uploaded a YouTube video where she planned on giving away a total of $10,000 to smaller streamers that her followers suggested to her. The last time Pokimane donated to random streamers was almost three years ago, so she decided to add a twist: giving the streamers the option to take the money, or double it and pass it to another streamer. In the video, Pokimane started with smaller amounts, like $200 and $400, which would later increase. The largest amount she donated was $6,400, which went to a streamer who needed a new PC.

Apart from the cash donations, Pokimane also gifted Twitch subs to all the streamers she met, with the most being over 100 to help a streamer reach their sub-goal. Although she initially said that she’ll only give away $10,000, her total donation count ultimately exceeded that. In the YouTube comments, many viewers thanked Pokimane for the help she provided to the Twitch streamers and praising her kindness towards people. Some of the streamers featured in the video also left a comment, saying that they still couldn’t believe that she would give out cash and subscriber donations to their channels.

Pokimane isn’t the only streamer who’s done this trend as other popular online personalities like MrBeast, Disguised Toast, and Jacksepticeye also uploaded similar videos in the past. Not only is it entertaining to see the Twitch streamers’ shocked reactions when they see the donations, this type of content is also popular because of how wholesome it is.

Being a Twitch streamer or YouTube content creator isn’t easy, especially for newbies who are just starting to build up their following. It may be a challenge to do it full-time for the first few months or years, so it’s definitely heartwarming to see the likes of Pokimane paying it forward to those who might need an extra push.
