gamers that are eagerly anticipating a Nintendo Direct for January 2019 have been given a big prediction.

It has long been rumoured that the House of Mario will be holding a Nintendo Direct for January 2019.

Ninty had been rumoured to be holding a Nintendo Direct on Thursday January 10.

This would have been 12 months since last year’s Nintendo Direct Mini which saw Mario Tennis Aces and Dark Souls Remastered announced.

However, that date came and went without a Nintendo Direct January 2019 announcement.

But fans are still holding out hope a Nintendo Direct for January 2019 with plenty of Switch games reveals will take place soon.

Nintendo historically holds a Direct at the start of the year in January – so it would be very surprising if they break that tradition in 2019.

And now one prominent Nintendo tweeter has given their verdict on whether a Direct could be inbound soon.

‘Nintendo superfan’ Stealth – who has thousands of followers on Twitter – was asked when they thought the next Direct could be.

One follower asked: “What’s your best guess on when the next Direct might hit, all things considered?”

Stealth replied: “I really don’t know but I can’t imagine January will end without one.”

Rumours have been circulating about what Nintendo could announce during the upcoming Direct.

The Big N has plenty of first party games in the works that they may want to promote during a Nintendo Direct presentation.

These titles include the new Fire Emblem game, Animal Crossing Switch, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and the Gen 8 Pokemon title.

However, it seems more like the Gen 8 Pokemon game could get its own unveiling event later in the year like with Pokemon Let’s Go.

There are also plenty of other rumoured titles that could get announced during a January 2019 Nintendo Direct.

No in-game footage or pictures of Metroid Prime 4 have been showcased since it was announced back in 2017.

Bayonetta 3 is another eagerly anticipated exclusive game that Nintendo Switch fans are also due an update on.

While there are rumours also of a new Mario Maker title and Super Mario Odyssey DLC which Switch fans will surely be keeping their fingers crossed about.

Other rumoured games that allegedly will be coming to the Nintendo Switch are a brand new Ridge Racer and Star Fox Grand Prix.

It’s also been highly tipped that a version of Persona 5 – arguably the best JRPG of this generation – is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

One other big announcement in an upcoming Nintendo Direct could be the addition of SNES games to Nintendo Switch Online.

Dataminers have allegedly found a list of inbound SNES games for Switch Online in files from a recent update.

Some 22 SNES games were listed including classic titles like Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World and Super Metroid, as well as Star Fox 2, Breath of Fire 2 and Pop’n Twinbee.
