Modern Warfare beta – How to get early access for Call of Duty beta on Xbox One | Gaming | Entertainment

Call of Duty Modern Warfare is getting a second beta this week, and this time it’s available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

PS4 owners can play for the duration of the beta period from September 19 to September 23.  The PlayStation beta is available to all PS4 owners, with or without a pre-order.

Anybody who played last week’s PS4 beta can jump into the action as soon as it goes live, although an update is required.

The second Modern Warfare beta also has a September 19 release date on Xbox One and PC.

However, the September 19 release date only applies to Xbox One and PC owners who have pre-ordered the game.

To get early access to the Call of Duty beta on September 19, Xbox One owners can pre-order Modern Warfare from the Xbox Store, or by visiting retailers such as Amazon and GAME.

Anybody who pre-orders a digital version of Call of Duty will automatically gain access to the beta. If you’ve pre-ordered a physical copy of the game, you should receive an early access code.

“In most cases, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Early Access Beta code will be printed on the retail receipt or sent to you via email on an online receipt,” Activision confirms. “If you didn’t receive a Beta code or can’t locate it, please contact your retailer.”

Once you’ve received your code, you can redeem it by heading over to the Call of Duty website.

The Modern Warfare beta continues on September 21, where it’s open to Xbox One and PC owners without a pre-order.

The only barrier of entry is that Xbox One owners must have an active Xbox Live subscription.

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare beta will contain various maps, playlists and surprises.

“Expect an epic and ever-changing series of Maps, Playlists, and other content drops throughout the Beta Test Weekends, with surprises and a great deal of content to access,” reads a beta post on the PlayStation Store.

Fans will be able to try out everything from the 64-person Ground War mode, to the smaller, faster Gun Fight mode.

The next beta will also support cross-play between different platforms, and have mini-map enabled.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare has an October 25 release date on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
