There are plenty of collaborations planned for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 6, but as the update went live, a previously unannounced Dune crossover was revealed unintentionally.
Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 6 have arrived, bringing a host of new weapons for players to unlock and plenty of buffs and nerfs. The sixth and final season is set to be one of the most stacked to date when it comes to crossovers, with iconic anti-hero Spawn dominating the Battle Pass.

The Haunting Halloween event scheduled for the mid-season update is also bringing popular characters from well-known franchises, such as Evil Dead’s Ash Williams and Skeletor from Masters of the Universe.
But as Season 6 went live on September 27, another unannounced collaboration with the Dune movie series was accidentally revealed.
After the patch was released, a new Loading Screen could be seen in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 that featured the desert planet of Arrakis, the home of the Fremen where the vast majority of the films and books take place.

Although the Loading Screen was locked and couldn’t be equipped, it’s a strong indicator that a CoD x Dune crossover is coming soon in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
After digging into the Season 6 files, dataminers also uncovered the Dune Part Two: Sardaukar Pack. The bundle will reportedly feature Sardaukar Operators skins, which is Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV’s elite military force in the books and movies.
There was no mention of a release date for the bundle, and it remains to be seen if there are more new skins planned for the Dune collaboration.

Dune: Part Two was supposed to drop in theaters on November 3, 2023, so it’s likely that the crossover was originally planned to hit that release date. However, the movie was delayed until March 15, 2024, so we’ll have to wait and see if bundles are still planned for Warzone 2 and MW2, or a later date in Modern Warfare 3.
In the meantime, CoD fans still have the Alucard Hellsing and Diablo Lilith and Inarius bundles to look forward to as part of The Haunting event.
