To get the legendary card for The Hunter in Marvel’s Midnight Suns, players will first have to go through a gauntlet challenge battle.
Every character has legendary cards in Marvel’s Midnight Suns, but they aren’t permitted to get those cards until they pass through a challenge first. The first character to face these challenges will be The Hunter, leading the charge appropriately as the game’s leading protagonist.
These challenges aren’t like most battles in the game. There are modifiers to the cards played, redraws, and moves. The cards received are preset and defined. There is usually only one way to beat this challenge in Marvel’s Midnight Suns and this is the way to do it for The Hunter.
How To Beat The Hunter’s Challenge
- Use the Charge card on opponent 1, adjusting the angle to the far right.
- Use the Charge card on opponent 2.
- Use the Charge card on opponent 1, adjusting the angle to the far left.
- Use the Charge card on opponent 3.
- Use the Charge card on opponent 1, pushing it in front of the crystal.
- Use the Whip card on opponent 1, pushing it into the crystal.
- Use Bladestorm on the newly spawned crystal.
None of The Hunter’s cards deal damage, so the trick here is to get an opponent to smash into the red crystal. Because opponents 2 and 3 have debris behind them, knockbacks will kill them, so this leaves the duty to opponent 1. Use Charge and move him as far right as is allowed.
Next, smash into opponent 2 with Charge, killing it.
Now turn around and use Charge to hit opponent 1, forcing him to go between the rocks to the left. Make sure he doesn’t bump into anything so he stays alive.
Next, smash into opponent 1 with Charge, killing it. This will yield the Whip card.
Use the final Charge card to hit opponent 1 straight ahead, in front of the crystal.
Finally, use Whip to fling the opponent into the crystal, shattering it.
This yields the legendary Bladestorm card. Go ahead and use this on the newly spawned crystal for the victory and the Bladestorm card! Edit the deck to add the card and get some practice with it.
