Three new screenshots teasing what is to come in Season 18 of Destiny 2 are just the latest in a litany of leaks ahead of Bungie’s showcase stream.

The last several days have seen a litany of leaks drop online teasing what’s coming to Destiny 2 in Season 18 and Lightfall ahead of Bungie‘s showcase stream. Lightfall leaks, alone, have given players a tease of the expansion’s story, villain, and new location they will experience as The Witness’ forces converge on The Traveler. Before players get there, though, there is the new content coming in Season 18 and a new set of screenshots has given players a first look at what’s to come in the new season.

Destiny 2‘s next season, reportedly titled Season of the Plunder, is said to be an Eliksni-focused season where pirate motifs will be ever-present. The leaked screenshots seemingly confirm this as the first two showcase two updated Ketches, both of which have the appearance of galactic pirate ships with sails featuring the respective Eliksni house. Veteran players will likely recognize one of the Ketch’s symbol’s as belonging to the notorious Eliksni crime boss The Spider, while the second features a new house sigil.

As for the third screenshot, it gives players a taste of the new armaments which may find their way into players’ ever-growing vault in Destiny 2 Season 18. The weapons’ overall design appears to fall in-line with the season’s Eliksni and pirate themes, with the image confirming the arsenal includes a new pulse rifle, machine gun, submachine gun, sidearm, shotgun, and linear fusion rifle. It is not clear, though, if these are all the new weapons using the season’s motif players can earn or what other weapons players will be able to grind for when the season kicks off.

Additional leaks have since pointed to Eramis the Shipstealer making her grand return inside Season of the Plunder, potentially joining The Witness’ forces already in the Solar System. All signs have pointed to her returning at some point, whether it was the small bit of health left when players defeated her in Beyond Light or various tidbits of lore hinting she was being “transformed” in some way. It is possible with this transformation, she forms another house directly in The Witness’ service and the Ketch emblazoned with a new sigil is part of said house.

Ultimately, though, everything to take place over Season 18 and Season 19 is just setting the proverbial table for what is to come when Lightfall releases in 2023. Recent leaks point to big things on the way for guardians, The Last City, and The Traveler, itself, as The Witness’ final assault on the Solar System begins, though players can expect to get a better look when Bungie’s showcase stream kicks off.

Destiny 2 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.
