A potion-making tournament full of dirty tricks! For 2 to 4 players
So today Game Geeks News are proud to bring you yet another amazing project currently running on kickstarter. Silbury, the challenge of the druids takes place in a Celtic universe and is a game for 2 to 4 players aged 10 and over, and offers two modes: discovery and initiated. Designed by Robin Piarulli and illustrated by Matthieu Martin, they have decided to launch a campaign on kickstarter in the hope to bring this amazing board game to its full potential.

To celebrate the arrival of the summer solstice, a large potions brewing tournament is organized around Silbury Hill. This event brings together not all the goatee bums in the country, but the best druids in the county who want to show off their knowledge and wisdom. At the end of this merciless and chlorophyll-filled fight, the one with the most victory points will be declared the winner of the tournament. And he will have the immense honour of becoming the disciple of the great druid.
Silbury is played over several rounds.
When a round starts, the action dice are rolled in the centre of the board. Each player will be able to choose the available dice and perform the indicated action. Sow and harvest Hawthorn, Mugwort, St. John’s Wort or Elder, summon a spirit or collect gold coins.
Then if they have the necessary plants, the budding druids will be able to prepare a potion only that proposed by the druid. Or they can get the favour of a Forest Spirit (for expert mode). When a player takes the last die on the board, a new round begins.
Risks and Challenges:
By reaching their objective of 7,920 euros, or 230 contributors on average, they are producing 250 additional boxes. They are putting their initial investment of 3,500 euros at risk. The first challenge is to sell these boxes after the crowdfunding to repay their initial investment.
The health crisis represents a significant break in the promotion of the project (no more games rooms, game bars, or festivals). The second challenge is to develop other dissemination channels for the project, to bring together a community of contributors (Facebook and insta social networks, advertising banners, publication on blogs).
The edition is fully ready following the upstream work that they have already provided. To be serene in their schedule, they are allowing 4 months for production time, after the end of the crowdfunding. The delivery of contributions is therefore scheduled and announced for September 2021. For updates on this project, you can follow the progress on their facebook page.
