Galamon’s Card Game New Season
Game Geeks News are proud to bring you another great gaming project currently running on Kickstarter. Galamons card game welcomes you into a world where monsters walk the Earth. This is a game tailored both to tabletop gaming enthusiasts and to card collectors, encouraging gamers to immerse themselves into the rich lives of Galamons. Each monster boasts its own powers and its own skills. A game quite unlike any other that you have ever played before. It features stages of monsters, who transform through the Power Stone cards that correspond to each monster’s type. Hussein, the creator started Galamons in 2019, and has been developing, designing the game since, and released his first Kickstarter campaign on July 10th 2020 with Light and Darkness starter decks, but unfortunately, it didn’t reach its goal, but Hussein gained so much experience and continued developing Galamons outside of Kickstarter, since the last Kickstarter launch Galamons has now got its own online store which ships internationally.
Hussein has also designed and released new starter decks, Magma and Ice, along with booster packs, Triple Fires and Snow Storm, which each have ten cards per pack for either Magma or Ice Galamons cards. He was also able to partner with a new production company that offered a higher quality product with way lower cost than Galamons first release and was able to Partner with card game YouTube channel London Players Guild to unbox and gameplay Galamons.
Thunder and Metal planets join Galamons this season, featuring two new leaders Thunder Tempest Dragon and Mecha Fury Dragon.
Thunder Tempest X Mecha Fury release will add new features to the game, starting with A new card type called “Awakened” Galamons.
Awakened Galamons come in an alternate art of the non-awakened Galamon, with “Awakened” in its card name and in its card description. They are Stage 3 Galamons, meaning they evolve normally from a Stage 2 Galamon, just like any other Stage 3 Galamons cards. Non-awakened and awakened Stage 3 Galamons have the same prior form and you get to choose to evolve to Awakened or Non-Awaken Stage 3 Galamon.
Awakened Galamons can use their Awaken ability (card description) without a Power Stone because the Galamon is always in the Awaken state, they usually have higher Attack points or Defense points than normal Stage 3 Galamons, but it comes with a cost, Awakened Galamons usually need more Power Stones to evolve from Stage 2 than non-awaken Stage 3 Galamon, so choose wisely.
The second new addition to Galamons card game is Spell Cards being reworked. The new starter decks will now feature new spell cards types featuring new artwork based on the planet’s attributes. For example, Thunder Starter Decks will have a whole new art and spell card ability featuring Thunder Tempest Dragon.
Evolution is one of the best ways to win a Galamons game, Galamons features Perfectly designed monsters with attention to detail, even the card art effects Evolves with each Stage, you can evolve Galamons with Power Stones, and this season The evolution tree expands even more with “Awakened” Stage 3 form.
Power stone cards are used to Evolve GALAMONS monsters in battle. Each evolution requires a certain amount of stones to Evolve.
- Spirit of Death which can revive a Stage 1 monster from your drop zone.
- Spirit of War which can grant the attacking monster a Double attack regardless of regular ability.
- Spirit of Power which can buff a monster’s attack points or health points.
- Spirit of Protection which can nullify (Cancel) one attack on your monster.
- Spirit of Hunt which can help you charge 3x Power Stones from your deck into the field.
- Spirit of Void which allows you to draw 5x cards from the top of your deck.
- Spirit of Deceive which can help you get 3x Galamon stages from your deck to your hand and then shuffle your deck.
- Ultimate Power Evolve stage 1 Galamon to stage 2 Galamon without using Power Stones. (Can only be used with Thunder Planet).
- Mecha Barrier Block an attack on one of your Galamons and heal your planet by 2. (Can only be used with Mecha Planet).
Planet cards are the game’s core to win or lose. Each player’s planet has 10 health points at the beginning of the battle. The planet’s health points go down as the player gets attacked. If it reaches zero, then the player loses. There is a certain monster card that heals the planet’s health points. Plan your way to victory by protecting your planet either with monsters or with Spirit of protection (Spell) cards and clear the opponent’s centre field to attack his/her planet. There are enormous strategies you can use to win the battle in GALAMONS.
This season Hussein wanted to make something new, as a reward for Galamons loyal players and collectors and came up with “Prestige Token”, which is a gold plated metal card featuring a new Galamon each season with different layers of gold materials and colours.
Prestige Token for 2021, will feature Thunder Tempest Dragon Stage 3 Awakened Art. There will be only 99 copies that will not be re-manufactured again, but there will be a new Prestige Token for each Kickstarter campaign from now on.
Any backer who is early enough to choose “Limited Prestige Gold Edition” tier before the 99 availability runs out will receive a Prestige Token.
The campaign is already heading towards its first target goal, but there are a few stretched goals Hussein would still like to reach. Pledges start from as little as $10 but by pledging a little more, you can get your hands on some really cool extras such as starter decks, T-shirts and neoprene mats.
