A new asymmetric multiplayer video game VERY different from what you have seen so far.
Game Geeks News are proud to bring you another great gaming project currently running on Kickstarter. DrazorStudio are a new and young company created in Almeria, Spain, around 2017. Made up of professionals from all fields such as film, theatre, and video games.
The team comprises people who have been close to the audiovisual environment for many years through the development and/or distribution of films, series, 3D, VFX, and video games. They decided to come together to create something original and new in the gaming industry that they were passionate about.
Drunken Nuke’em is a new asymmetric multiplayer video game very different from what you have seen so far. Venture into this madness with four unique college students with unique personalities. Or embody his Landlord, who loves order, silence, and… instruments of torture.
Have fun, get drunk until you throw up, use eccentric weapons and escape while collaborating and/or betraying your friends. As the Landlord, defend the tranquillity and silence that reigns in the Residence through violence and torture.
The game’s objective will be to have different maps, drunks, and “villains”, each one with specific common points but different themes and goals. However, keeping all the essence of madness and fun as a fundamental pillar.
For now, the first map will be about a small college dorm and its surroundings. It will have different key areas whose structure and location will change randomly in each game.

DrazorStudio wanted a game that stands out and has character, so used a cartoon-like graphic style that allows them to convey the sensation of madness that you will experience in games. With Drunken Nuke’em everything breathes its own personality, and for this reason, each of the protagonists has their own way of crouching, walking, running, etc., always according to them. The same goes for the variety of facial expressions that you will see in the game. All developed with great detail and, above all, affection.

The current plan is to release Drunken Nuke’em on Windows platform Steam and hopefully to PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo if they surpass their stretch goals. Rewards for backing this Kickstarter include digital copies of the game, your name in the credits, T-shirts and a digital soundtrack. You can even develop a character or become a producer of Drunken Nuke’em if you would like to pledge more. For a full breakdown of the rewards available, check out their crowdfunding page on Kickstarter.
So far, all game development has been self-funded. However, there is a goal that they have very clear from the beginning: Release the best possible version of Drunken Nuke’em.

Each drunk will decide during the game with whom they can escape. You will learn not to trust anyone. Perhaps you will even discover that you had a dark side inside you… You will be able to escape by leaving behind who would have to accompany you, although not without consequences. In addition to winning, each action and objective achieved will assign a score to each player, translating into points for a ranking and as currency to acquire various benefits in future games.
Drunks will enjoy a third-person camera with greater peripheral vision. The hunter will have increased stats and play with the first-person camera to focus on hunting and killing. Let the unethical drunkards free your instincts! Dedicate yourself to pursuing them, capturing them, putting them in torture machines, and killing them to end the root problem. Each character has its own models, sizes, animations, and facial expressions, so they aren’t just copies of each other. It might be obvious for a video game, but it really is a crucial point. Having a good time even if you are cruelly betrayed is something we want to prioritize. In Drunken Nuke’em it will be more important to have fun getting points than to win or lose (which also gives points).

Each action, goal, and task performed will give each player an individual score. In the future, or depending on the goals achieved in this Kickstarter, that score will be converted into points that you can use to improve skill trees, compete in rankings or earn skins.
Risks and challenges
It is a double challenge. First, to achieve a fun and addictive experience even when a victory cannot be achieved. On the other hand, give the asymmetric multiplayer genre a twist with a new and innovative formula.
DrazorStudio wants to get the final product into players’ hands as soon as possible. They know that this will largely depend on different factors. The main one will depend on what goals are achieved during the Kickstarter. DrazorStudio anticipates that when they have most of the extra gameplay mechanics added and are happy with the results, they will be able to publish the product as Early Access while they develop and polish the rest of the content and elements. Depending on the goals achieved and considering possible problems and unforeseen delays, this process could take from a few months to more than a year. Keep in mind that balancing and bug testing will also take time. Also, the development process for each new character is somewhat longer than in other titles, as each character has its own models, animations, and expressions.
Therefore, the most significant foreseeable risk would be to experience delays that extend Early Access duration longer than initially anticipated. Their sponsors deserve a great game that they themselves have invested in. DrazorStudio believes that the game they have in mind, with many of its additions in various objectives, will exceed expectations.
