Kickstarter Project: Camp Palut: A Queer Visual Novel

0

So this week we are proud to bring you a totally amazing kickstarter project currently in the making. Bearly Playing Games is an indie game publisher dedicated to creating visual novels devoid of the male gaze. Find romance while discovering the secrets behind the strange camp, and saving the world in Camp Palut: A Queer Visual Novel.

It’s your first time at summer camp, and you’re almost a senior in high school. Although you weren’t totally thrilled when your parents sent you off, finding out that your three cabin mates are incredibly cute certainly helps to soften the blow.

Explore the camp, enjoying all the activities it has to offer while growing close to a certain special someone.

But there’s something puzzling about Camp Palut, and unravelling the mystery is the only way to keep you and your fellow campers safe.

Will you save the day AND get the girl?

There are so many rewards for backing this project on kickstarter, and pledges start from as little as $1 which gets your name in the credits as well as digital wallpapers. They also have a selection of embroidered patches for pledges of $20 or more (see image below).

The game is currently available as a demo on both PC and Mac devices and can be downloaded here.

A vast majority of the Kickstarter funds will be going towards the artwork. This includes character art, CGs, and backgrounds.

Very little is going towards writing and programming as Bearly Playing Games are doing all that themselves. A small amount of the raised funds will be dedicated towards music, however, stretched goals will allow the developers to dedicate more funds to a stellar soundtrack.
