Lets Make Ameri-canz Great Again

Game Geeks News is proud to bring you another great gaming project coming soon to Kickstarter. Beverage Hills (developed by Jamie Rose) is a small town where Cola and his wife Diet live. Cola grew up with his dad being a pharmacist and he had a vague memory of friends, maybe brothers? Cola spent most of his childhood working for his dad and using prescription drugs. There has been a new election and things are about to take a turn for the worst. The President wants to make Ameri-Canz great again. Right now we do not know what this means, however, Colas’s friend Lenon has just come back from the strip club where Diet works and reports that the town is on lockdown and her workmates have been kidnapped. The rumours are that Hot Chocolate, Buck Fizz and Sparking Wine have been working closely with someone to accumulate canz for a mass national scheme.

Jamie decided to go with a turn-based battle system. Every enemy has its own unique set of mana attacks. You as the player have the option to attack, use magic and other items or flee (but not for boss battles). There are times in the game when completing the side quests will pay off to learn that secret mana attack. At the start of the game, you’ll find that all you can do is attack. There will be a time in the game when you’re made ‘great again’ this is when mana comes into play. Each time you battle an enemy or a random pest you’ll earn XP that levels up your health, attacks, armour and defence!

In Beverage Hills you’ll explore all the sorrounding cities to find Diet. Each city or routes to cities, will unlock another piece of the puzzle to what’s happening to the world.  You’ll explore dungeons to collect many pieces of the puzzle that require you to move forward in the game.

During your travels you’ll face a great variety of enemies ranging from sugar free to converted powerful canz, this is what let’s make Ameri-Canz great again is all about.

This game is a skilled based game, when Cola unlocks his full potential you’ll have to use your mana very carefully because once it’s depleted you’ll become very weak.

The game has a full storyline that keeps you intrigued and the dialog is detailed and entertaining.

The game is comedic with current events, ranging from building walls, Covid-19 and just out right stupidity with a punchline.

As an example the drink Red Bull ‘gives you wings’, well in this game Rebel ‘gives you rings’.

There’s a lot of play on words in the game, Jamie has made sure that each scene represents something that every player will have heard of and recognises.

This game contains strong language, references to drugs and some violent scenes. This game will have an age rating of around 16+ here in the UK.

Beverage Hills is full of characters, as you can see below. Each character has a story of its own and is key to the campaign. Jamie doesn’t want to give away any spoilers of the campaign.  Looking through all the images and trailer I am sure you can roughly guess the key stories in this game. Please also note that these may not be the full design of that particular character, but they won’t change by much.

The trailer above only shows some visual aspects of this game very quickly. Trailers are good, but you just don’t really get the time to look at a particular scene. Here are some images below.

The Beverage Hill’s original campaign was originally built with pixel art and has now over the last 6 months been re-designed to make a much cleaner more realistic world. The re-design is around 30% done. If this Kickstarter is successful, it will allow Jamie to speed this project up and have it ready for release at the end of 2023. Funding the campaign will cover another designer, and another developer to test each new scene still works with already existing mechanics and better equipment for the sound maker to make amazing music and sound effects.

The groundwork of the mechanics is already semi-finished, but sadly there can always be some unforeseen circumstances that could delay some aspects or – in the very worst case – prevent some things completely from being finished. While Jamie is confident no such things should occur during development, he would of course update backers of the campaign as soon as possible and be as transparent as possible.

Jamie wanted to create something a little more current. Normally in games, you would collect money to pay for items, power-ups etc… Jamie feels like this is the time to change that. After completing different tasks you will get permission from NPC’s to allow you to draw them. After you have drawn them you can then add them to the market to be sold. This is the only way you can get funds in this game. If by any chance you can’t draw to save your life it will not affect the NFT value, just like in real life.

You can also add this game to your steam wish list unless you’re a backer of this campaign, you will get the game on its first tier, which will get you the digital copy of the game plus your name in the credits. You can check out all of the rewards for backing this project on their Kickstarter page. If you would like to follow Jamie on Twitter and Facebook or join the discord channel, you will find that they are updated quite frequently.

The Kickstarter will be going live soon so be sure to check back as we will be following Beverage Hills and will be bringing you updates before the launch on Kickstarter.
