A modern-day Photo Scavenger hunt game that you can play on your phone
Game Geeks News is proud to bring you another great gaming project currently running on Kickstarter. “I GOT THAT” is a modern-day Scavenger hunt that you play on your phone; It was created in Katy, Texas (Suburbs of Houston) by Steven Reynolds and his 10-year-old daughter Emily Reynolds during the Covid lockdown of 2020.
Players only need the custom I Got That deck of cards and the photos on their phone. The player’s race to be the first player to match the card shown with an existing photo on their phone. The first player to match the card shown wins that round, and the first player to win 10 rounds wins the game. (Refer to additional game rules below).
- 1. Gather around a table (min 2 players, all ages can play)
- 2. Turn on your smartphone/device and navigate to your photos/videos.
- 3. Shuffle the cards and place the stack of cards face down in the middle of the group/table.
- 4. The player who shuffled the cards starts the game and flips over the top card face up on the table, everyone is now playing.
- 5. As fast as possible the group looks and scrolls thru their device only to find a photo /video that matches that card, the first player to find a match and states, “I GOT THAT” & wins that card & keeps the card until the end of the game.
- 6. The player who collected the last card now flips the next card and the group looks through their devices again.
- 7. If no one matches the photo and the group agrees to skip, then another card is placed on top, and the next winner gets both cards as points.
- 8. Winner is the first person to collect 10 cards.
- 9. No Cheating, No using the internet, No saving photos to a specific game folder, No using the phone’s search menu. If caught cheating, you lose 1 card back to the deck.
- 10. You can add your own rules to enhance your playing experience.

Between the Summer of 2021 and January 2022, Steven Reynolds used his own money to create I Got That Base Game packs and ordered the 1st edition prints of the Base Game pack, now they are being asked to provide expansion packs. Steven decided to use Kickstarter to help procure the expansion packs. They will use the funds generated from this Kickstarter to order and produce Expansion packs for I Got That.
Their initial goal of $1500 is for the purchase of our FOOD Expansion Pack (25 cards) Expansion Packs.
