Fans eager to get their hands on Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin have a few options to start playing before release.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is right around the corner, launching on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store on March 18, 2022. However, fans eager to play Team Ninja’s take on Final Fantasy before the release date can play early without the need to pre-order a special edition. Console owners can even get started on their Final Fantasy journey right now.
First revealed at E3 2021, Stranger of Paradise is a souls-like action RPG twist on the Final Fantasy series developed by Team Ninja, creators of the Nioh series. Stranger of Paradise’s reveal at E3 came with a surprise demo available exclusively for PlayStation owners, with many players noticing the game weaves its Nioh DNA with the world of Final Fantasy and serves as an alternate retelling of the very first game from 1987.
How to Play Stranger of Paradise Early on Consoles
There are a couple of options for players ready to take on Stranger of Paradise before March 18. Any player that pre-orders a digital copy of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin on PlayStation or Xbox will receive 72-hour early access to the game starting on March 15 at midnight local time.
Early access is included with any digital edition of Final Fantasy Origin pre-orders, provided players pre-order on Xbox or PlayStation. Additionally, players on consoles can start playing Stranger of Paradise right away, thanks to another demo released shortly after March’s PlayStation State of Play.
Stranger of Paradise’s latest demo takes players through the game’s tutorial and first three stages. All progress made throughout the demo can be transferred over to the main game when it launches on March 18. Eager fans with a pre-order locked in can start playing the beginning portion of the game right away via the demo with a short wait until the early access period begins on March 15. Launching the Stranger of Paradise demo and pre-ordering a digital copy on PlayStation or Xbox means players can start their whole journey right away.
How to Play Stranger of Paradise Early on PC
Notably, PC players have not received the same early access luxuries as Xbox and PlayStation players. PC players will also receive early access with a pre-order of any digital edition of Stranger of Paradise, albeit with a shorter 24-hour early access period starting on March 17 at midnight local time. With a 24-hour early access period along with no demo on the Epic Games Store, PC players will have to wait just a bit longer to get their hands on Stranger of Paradise.
