Fortnite update 10.30 is finally about to launch on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.
The delayed update 10.30 will be available to download at 9am UK time on September 11.
Because this is a numbered update, the servers will be taken offline for downtime maintenance at 9am BST. Expect downtime to end a couple of hours later at 11am.
The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter, alongside a teaser about what to expect from the imminent update.
“Break out of your shell!” reads an Epic tweet. “The v10.30 update arrives tomorrow. Downtime will begin at 4 AM ET (0800 UTC).”
Judging by the tweet, Epic is gearing up to add some kind of shell item to Battle Royale.
Of course, a new Season 10 update also means more map changes.
The customary Rift Beacons have appeared above Paradise Palms and the frozen lake near Polar Peak.
Fans are speculating that we could see the return of Greasy Grove and Moisty Mire in some capacity.
With the Borderlands 3 crossover coming to an end, it’s also possible we’ll get the IT Chapter 2 event Epic has been teasing.
Creepy red balloons recently started appearing across the map, specifically by storm drains.
One thing that does look likely is that ziplines will be re-activated in update 10.30.
Ziplines were recently disabled due to an unspecified issue with the transportation system.
According to the Fortnite problems page, Epic is investigating the issue, which will be fixed in a future release.
Based on the early patch notes, Epic will fix the problem with players who are unable to “report others during a replay because they get stuck at the ‘Sending Report’ screen”.
Epic could also fix an issue with several cosmetics and pickaxe effects not rendering properly.
Check back at 9am BST on September 11 for the full list of update 10.30 patch notes.
