Fortnite Crew may offer more cosmetics, VBucks, and benefits to players in the future.
The Fortnite development team is constantly finding ways to shake up what gamers are getting out of the title. A list of possible Fortnite Crew changes has surfaced in a new survey, showing that players may be getting more cosmetics, VBucks, and additional benefits. In addition to the revolving selection of skins and other items, players have access to Fortnite Crew, a monthly subscription service that offers benefits from multiple passes in the game at once.
There appear to be changes on the horizon for Fortnite Crew. Players are used to Fortnite’s monetization becoming more expensive over time, and as other services like Game Pass and PlayStation Plus implement price jumps, increases seem likelier in other areas of gaming. Although price changes can be frustrating for fans, the Fortnite team appears to be thinking of ways for players to get even more out of what they’re paying.
Fortnite source HYPEX shared a list of potential Fortnite Crew subscription changes shown in a recent survey. Some of these updates are mainly cosmetic, but others sound like they’d offer gamers even more for the value of a Fortnite Crew membership. The list of potential updates in consideration includes access to prior Fortnite Crew cosmetics, access to an array of emotes, more cosmetics and VBucks, a discount when making multi-month purchases, Fortnite Crew exclusive quests, a profile flair for Crew users, and “Battle Pass levels each month.”

So far, many of these changes seem to be welcome additions to Fortnite Crew. Especially considering the push from fans to bring back older Fortnite skins in general, plenty of gamers would appreciate having access to older Crew cosmetics. Based on the wording of some suggestions, like having access to emotes while players are subscribed, The Fortnite team may be thinking of making the Crew subscription function similarly to something like PlayStation Plus, where gamers have access to many services but don’t get to keep certain items when they cancel a subscription.

While many of these changes are exciting, some users showed apprehension, expressing concern that the Fortnite team may be interested in hiking the price for a Fortnite Crew membership again, making it a potentially less enticing deal. The Fortnite team may be considering a price adjustment since many aspects of Fortnite‘s monetization and reward systems have changed over the seven years the game has been active. Regardless, many of these benefits could outweigh the detriments of a price jump if it’s not unreasonably high.
