Fortnite Season 8 LEAKS: Battle Pass skins and big map update news | Gaming | Entertainment

leaks haven’t been as readily available as in the past, but there are still some clues on how the coming weeks will pan out, including fresh details from the PlayStation Store.

First of all, the official teasers from Epic Games provide us with a rough outline of how things will be themed.

The Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass will be announced soon and will include a range of new cosmetics to unlock.

And some of these items will be new Fortnite skins themed around the Caribbean.

The final few teasers released by Epic has confirmed this, with pictures of snakes, pirate hooks and bananas all being featured.

So what does this mean for the Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass?

Like in past seasons, one of these teasers no doubt features an item from the Battle Pass.

So it seems very likely that we will be getting some new pirate skins, along with whatever other fruit Epic can think of.

The Fortnite Battle Pass for Season 8 will also include some random gear and items that don’t fit into the teasers released by Epic.

Fans have also been wondering if the Fortnite Battle Pass could be expanded during Season 8.

Having already made it possible to earn a free Battle Pass without the need of spending V-Bucks, gamers are wondering if some other tweaks might be made.

With new competition from Apex Legends, it could be the perfect time for Epic Games to revamp their popular formula.

This has been done in the past by making it possible to evolve skins over time by completing challenges.

So could Epic do something like this again, making it possible to customise existing skins further?

A recent leak has confirmed that Epic will be going back to the old Fortnite 10-week system, having changed this for the holidays.

A PlayStation Store page has confirmed that Fortnite Season 8 will run into May 8, meaning there might not be another Overtime Challenges event.

“‘X’ marks the spot. Season 8 launches on Thursday, February 28.” a message on the PS4 store page reads.

Fortnite map changes are also coming as part of Season 8.

Wailing Woods has seen cracks appear and now ash has started to appear from the ground in the area.

This would suggest that the Volcano seen in the recent teaser images will appear in the general location.

A Volcano sprouting from the ground will likely be caused by the Prisoner, who now has a fiery appearance and has been linked to other events.

Data miners have found evidence that fiery tornados could be part of the Fortnite map changes, meaning different areas could be affected.

Fireballs could also emit from the volcano, wrecking large areas of the Fortnite map.

And what about the colder areas of Fortnite Battle Royale? Could they be transformed to create new lakes, complete with treasure islands to explore?

All of these questions and more will be answered by Epic tomorrow, February 28, when Fortnite Season 8 begins.
