After a series of community complaints, Epic Games deletes over 100 Creative maps and reminds fans that it’s always on the lookout.

Epic Games has removed and banned over 100 Creative mode maps that featured serious content violations. Fortnite is most known for its Battle Royale game mode. Initially, Epic Games intended to make Save the World the main Fortnite mode, but as Battle Royale grew in popularity, the company decided to put the PvE campaign on the back burner and shift its focus completely. As time went by, the Playground game mode was released, which allowed players to freely explore the Battle Royale island and set their own matches with friends.

As players grew accustomed to Playground, they started to wish for more customization options, which led to the launch of Creative, a game mode that allowed gamers to freely build their own maps and experiences. Epic Games continued to work on Creative, and it eventually evolved into Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), also known as Creative 2.0. This way, fans can make their own games in Fortnite, and they have access to tons of tutorials and helpful tools that can help them navigate and understand the complexity behind the engine.

Fortnite Adds LEGO Style for Fan-Favorite Collab Skin

Epic Games continues to add a LEGO style to all sorts of skins, and Fortnite players can now rock one of the most popular collab skins in LEGO mode.

Even though many Fortnite content creators come up with unique ideas that lead to the creation of awesome games using UEFN, there are some bad seeds that make and publish inappropriate content using the platform. Recently, Fortnite fans started to notice an alarming increase in content creator maps of a racist nature, and this led to many complaints to the developers. Epic Games has now stated that it has started to remove the maps that breached the Fortnite Creative code of conduct, and over 100 maps have already been removed.

Many gamers were happy to learn that Epic Games listened to their feedback and took action. However, there is no doubt that the company needs to improve the moderation process so that these maps never see the light of day.

Fans are hopeful that Epic Games will learn from this mishap and come up with a better strategy to avoid situations like this. On top of this, many commented how they hope Epic permanently bans the Fortnite users who engaged in this behavior.
