Fortnite Leaker Teases Possible Changes Coming In Season 3

As Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 3 update draws nearer, a prominent Fortnite leaker recently summarized many of the known and heavily suspected changes coming with the major update. Fortnite’s Season 3 is expected to begin shortly after Season 2’s conclusion on May 24.

In April, a leaked Fortnite roadmap seemed to reveal many of the themes and crossovers coming in future Seasons this year. These included a post-apocalyptic theme for Season 3, another Fortnite OG phase in November, and crossovers with popular franchises like Pirates of the Caribbean. However, the leaked roadmap did not include more particular details of future updates, like in-game events or map changes, but recent developments have shined a brighter light on what fans can expect to see in Season 3.

Prominent Fortnite leaker Hypex took to Twitter to share his predictions for Fortnite‘s Season 3 update. Along with its post-apocalyptic theme, an image seen in the leaked roadmap seemed to suggest that Season 3 will introduce a steam train and possibly armored vehicles as well. As for in-game events, Hypex shared a leaked video showing a massive sandstorm that will appear on the edge of Fortnite‘s map leading up to the launch of the next Season. The sandstorm, along with the roadmap’s sandy image for Season 3, seems to strongly suggest that Fortnite‘s map will receive a desert-themed makeover sometime in late May, although it’s still unclear how drastic the map changes will be. Additionally, Season 3 will apparently feature collaborations with Metallica, Fall GuysPirates of the Caribbean, and possibly more.

Fortnite’s Season 3 Leaks

The leaker also said that Season 3 will introduce a helpful UI change to Fortnite‘s in-game shop by adding individual timers for each item, a change that will probably be much less controversial than other recently leaked Fortnite UI changes. It’s also possible that Season 3 will introduce new weapons and gameplay mechanics, but these haven’t been revealed or reliably leaked yet.

As for future updates beyond Season 3, it seems that Marvel’s Galactus could be featured in an in-game event later this year. Based on the leaked roadmap, Fortnite will introduce a Marvel-themed Season in August, so the new Galactus leak seems to line up with the older one.

It also seems that Loki will return to Fortnite this year. It’s unclear when exactly the skin will be released, so fans may have to wait until Fortnite‘s Marvel Season to purchase the popular character’s newest look.
