Here’s how to find and use Snowball Launchers in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 1.
Following a new Chapter update, Fortnite’s Winterfest is here once again to bring you seasonal cheer and a range of new weapons to fight with in Battle Royale. One of the quests during this season’s event requires a Snowball Launcher, which isn’t the easiest weapon to find.
The return of Winterfest brings the Snowball Launcher with it, lobbing devastating and heavy balls of snow toward your opponents. Thankfully, there’s one guaranteed spot to find it if you have the money, but there are other options as well.
Where To Find A Snowball Launcher
For a bargain of only 600 Gold Bars, you can talk to Boxy at the Ship It! Express facility located directly between Fencing Fields and Pleasant Piazza, where she can be found wandering around the inside of the building. Simply progress through any dialogue and select the Snowball Launcher on the left.
If you’re short on Gold Bars, you can either rob a vault or hope to find one in your regular looting across the island. Like other loot items, they can spawn in chests or on the ground.
If you’re collecting a Snowball Launcher for the Winterfest Quest, you should know that you can use it against the Society NPCs and have it count towards the quest objective.
Given that you have enough ammunition, you can complete all four stages of the quest quickly using this method.
If you’re not purchasing from Boxy, be warned that it seems like the Snowball Launcher has a lower spawn rate than many of the other weapons in the game right now, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be found. With the addition of the Society and their vaults this season, it’s a great opportunity for you to collect Gold Bars before using them to purchase the Launcher.
Each of the four stages of the Snowball Launcher Winterfest Quest will count towards the overarching goal of unlocking the Snowglobe Smasher pickaxe.
How To Use The Snowball Launcher
Like other rounded projectile launchers, the Snowball Launcher shoots its payload in an arc that you’ll need to aim and understand the drop of the ammo. However, when you’re able to land a hit on your opponents, it’s a great feeling that can deal devastating damage.
