Fortnite Brings Back One of Its Rarest Items

Fortnite has thousands of different cosmetic items, but some are significantly rarer, and now one of the hardest items to obtain is available.

Fortnite has brought back one of its rarest cosmetics ever after over four years of not making it to the Item Shop. Fortnite‘s Battle Royale game mode has been around for nearly six years. In its earlier years, the Item Shop was relatively small; it only had one page with a couple of featured items and a few daily items. Although it would rotate every 24 hours, as it still does, the number of cosmetics that were available was significantly lower, so gamers didn’t have to wait as long for some of their favorite Fortnite items to return.

As the game’s fanbase increased, more cosmetics had to be released in order to provide more diversity. Back in Chapter 1, when a popular Fortnite skin would come out, it wouldn’t be unusual for players to spot quite a few opponents rocking it. Nowadays, this isn’t as common since there are thousands of skins available. On top of this, more collaboration opportunities have appeared as more franchises want to be a part of Fortnite. So, every couple of weeks, more cosmetics are introduced to the game, pushing back the release of any returning items.

Even with the Jujutsu Kaisen x Fortnite event taking place, Fortnite has made it possible for one of the rarest cosmetic items in the entire game to make its return to the Item Shop. For a limited amount of time, players can acquire the Globetrotter glider, as it has come back after 1,528 days. Its last appearance in the Item Shop was on June 5, 2019, and it had only been made available three times.

This Uncommon rarity glider can be purchased for 500 V-Bucks, but it’s likely that it won’t be around for too long, so gamers that want to get it must act fast. Thankfully, there are several ways to obtain V-Bucks quickly. Players can progress through the Chapter 4 Season 3 Battle Pass, get the Fortnite Crew membership for the month of August, or purchase the Wish Set Match Quest Pack, the Starter Pack, or a V-Bucks Pack. Those who purchased the Save the World mode when it was in early access (Founders) can even grind some daily missions to boost their V-Bucks count.

Many gamers were slightly disappointed when they found out that this was the item that was chosen to make a return after such a long time. Unfortunately, the Globetrotter glider isn’t as flashy or exciting as other Fortnite cosmetics, but it would fit a discrete build perfectly. This could be the right cosmetic for players who prefer to lie low.

Fortnite is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
