It’s birthday time for Fortnite! Our little wave-based zombie survival game turns two years old today, though of course, the vast majority of people that know about it today know it from Battle Royale, the PvP mode that took over the world. The battle bus is decked out in birthday finery, there’s cake on the map and just like last year, we’ve got a suite of tasty challenges to help celebrate and grab some free loot while we’re at it. Most of the challenges are pretty straightforward, but there’s one you might want some help with. Here’s a map, guide and locations for where to dance in front of 10 birthday cakes in Fortnite: Battle Royale.
The birthday cakes are scattered all over the map, some at major points of interest, some at minor, and some just sort of in their own spot: they’re not just plunked down in the middle of big zones, like I thought they might be. They’re a bit tougher to find than last year’s challenge, but you can always recognize them by the balloons around them. Let’s go to the map:

Here`s where to find the Birthday Cakes:
- At the solar array just outside of Paradise palms
- On a small hill to in between the two main buildings at the desert racetrack
- In front of thew longhouse at Viking Village
- Right in the center of Junk Junction
- Just about in the middle of Salty Springs, near a green station wagon
- On the west side of the Gazebo in Pleasant Park
- On a hill in the southwestern part of the Lonely Lodge, just east of the expedition camp
- On an island due north of the orb at Loot Lake
- Right in front of the barn at Fatal Fields
- At the western entrance to Shifty Shafts
- When you get to a cake, just start dancing to complete the challenge. If you’ve taken a bit of damage, make sure to grab a slice to recover some health and shields as well as make your way towards completing another one of these challenges.
