The Epic Games store releases two free games for subscribers today, while revealing what will replace these titles on November 10.
Like clockwork, the Epic Games Store has released the new games for November 3 and revealed what will follow them on November 10. Many Epic Games Store users are likely familiar with the cadence: every Thursday at 10am CT, EGS releases its previously announced games and reveals the new ones.
This means that the first free Epic Games Store games for November 2022, Filament and Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, are now available to claim. The former is an indie strategy puzzle game, where players must solve the mystery of the crew disappearance aboard a ship known as The Alabaster. The second is a shooter game focused on accuracy and brutal realism. Both are pretty easy recommendations, so they would be worth checking out. However, if some players are not satisfied with these, they already know what to expect on November 10.
From November 10 to November 17, the Epic Games Store will be giving away Alba: A Wildlife Adventure and Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. Alba is described as a “chillectathon” and casual adventure game where players must find AIWRL, an organization that can help save the island. The game features handcrafted visuals, a variety of animal species, great music, and a relaxing atmosphere. Alba currently has a 79 Metacritic score and could be a great game for animal lovers to relax to.

On the other end of the spectrum is Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun which describes itself as a “hardcore tactical stealth game.” A new shogun over Japan is trying to enforce nationwide piece, and he enlists five specialists. Each of these characters are playable with unique skill sets, while the game features multiple “seemingly impossible” encounters where players are encounter, must find unique ways to take out opponents, and attack from all angles. Luckily, however, there are three difficulty levels for those who want to dial back or increase its “hardcore” elements.
Perhaps what’s most exciting for Epic Games Store users right now is the forthcoming holiday season. Typically, the Epic Games Store gives away a selection of free mystery games for several days in a row, with there being 15 games given away last year. These ranged from huge AAA games like Control to smaller, but beloved, indie titles. Either way, as the holidays close in, it’s going to be an exciting time for gamers on basically every platform.
Epic Games Store users get a handful of games every month.
