This makes the company’s first foray into the world of esports tournaments and collaboration with esports giants Team Queso to boost and support the growth of esports via participating in Elemental Raiders’ first esports tournament.
The tournament will kick off on Monday, March 2nd, 2023 from 3:00 pm UTC to Wednesday, March 8th, 2023 till 3:00 pm UTC.
Games for a living, the parent company behind Elemental Raiders, is a game publishing studio led by Manel Sort. Elemental Raiders, although built on the blockchain, does not follow the conventional play-to-earn mechanisms, and is completely free to play for users. The team said that they believe in allowing users to monetize their time and effort spent in the game while focusing on great gameplay and game economics, making it completely free to play rather than focusing on means to lure players in through buying digital collectibles to enter a game.
The tournament will bring together heavy hitters from the world of web3 as well as conventional web2 gamers and over 50+ major esports clans. .
Games for a living founder Manel Sort said that the free-to-play tournament series is a step towards boosting gaming and esports by combining the best elements of both worlds, into a series of games being developed under its umbrella.
“We launched on Steam late last year and have seen an overwhelmingly positive response from our gamerbase there. We see this as a massive opportunity increase the use of technology, immersive player and in-game experiences within the current Web2 and Web3 gaming ecosystems”
