Marinated Herring is one of the many dishes that require Herring in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
As Dreamers meet new characters while exploring the different Biomes in Disney Dreamlight Valley, they will also stumble upon some ingredients for cooking. Cooking is a crucial mechanism that plays a huge role in multiple Friendship Quests. It’s also beneficial for players since it restores Energy.
Any recipe has its own rarity in Disney Dreamlight Valley that reveals how many ingredients it requires. Marinated Herring, for example, is a 2-Star dish; meaning it needs two materials. Upon cooking the dish, Dreamers can eat it, sell it, or give it to other characters as a gift.
How To Make Marinated Herring In Disney Dreamlight Valley
To make Marinated Herring, it’s vital that players collect the necessary ingredients in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Luckily, it requires two simple ingredients; Herring and Onion. The former is a type of fish that can be easily caught using the Fishing Rod, while the latter is one of the many vegetables found in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Herring
Herring is a fish caught in either Dazzle Beach or Glade of Trust. Players can cast the Fishing Rod at any white ripples to catch the Herring. But keep in mind that Herring isn’t the only low-quality fish in these Biomes. This means that it’s possible to obtain another low-rarity fish like Cod or Tuna while fishing. Dreamers must keep fishing until a Herring appears.
As for the amount of Dreamlight required to unlock the necessary Biomes, Dazzle Beach costs 1,000 Dreamlight while Glade of Trust needs 5,000 Dreamlight. Fortunately, it appears that fishing at Dazzle Beach rewards more Herring than fishing at the Glade of Trust.
If Dreamers aren’t having any luck fishing at Dazzle Beach and don’t possess enough Dreamlight to open Glade of Trust, they can always check Moana’s boat at the beach for any caught Herring.
Onion
Onions are considered vegetables in Disney Dreamlight Valley that can be found at Goofy’s Stall in Forest of Valor. The requested Biome can be unlocked quite early in the game since it costs 3,000 Dreamlight.
While shopping at the stall, Dreamers can either buy Onion as an ingredient ready to cook for 255 Star Coins or buy a bag of Onion Seeds for 50 Star Coins in Disney Dreamlight Valley. If players aren’t in a rush, they can buy the seeds and plant the Onion, and it should be ready for harvest after one hour and 15 minutes.
Once all necessary ingredients are gathered, throw them all in a pot using any stove and consume one Coal Ore to complete the Marinated Herring. The 2-Star recipe offers 723 Energy, and it can be sold for 305 Star Coins at any Goofy’s Stall.
