Cyberpunk 2077 is looking increasingly likely to launch in 2019.
Fresh evidence has emerged that developer CD Projekt is gearing up for an imminent launch.
The Cyberpunk 2077 studio is hiring for a new release manager to help them with the game’s launch.
According to the job listing, the successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with publishing partners and for organising submissions to console manufacturers.
“We’re looking for a quality-focused and well-organised Release Manager to support us on our current and upcoming projects and to take part in coordination of all global product releases,” reads a CD Projekt job ad.
“As release manager you will cooperate and communicate with all stakeholders from the CD Projekt involved in the release and take active part in organising whole process.
“It includes submissions to first party console manufacturers, oversee compliance certification process and working with partners on publishing process on multiple platforms.”
The job ad would certainly suggest that CD Projekt is in the business end of Cyberpunk 2077 development.
It would also support a previous leak that suggested Cyberpunk 2077 would have a 2019 release date.
Territory Studio – who worked on the logo for the game – said Cyberpunk 2077 has a “2019 release” in a now deleted post (via Reddit).
Describing Cyberpunk 2077, the post said: “An ambitious open-world game, Territory came on board Cyberpunk 2077 to support brand and marketing with a logo ident and graphics package.
“Working closely with CD Projekt, we referenced a retro punk aesthetic that alludes to the attitude and energy of the game.
“Unveiled at E3 2018, we look forward to a 2019 release.”
With Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red confirming that the game will appear at this year’s E3 Gaming Expo, it’s possible we’ll find out more then.
It’s also possible we’ll find out more about the rumours of Lady Gaga appearing in the game.
French website Actugaming recently claimed that Lady Gaga was spotted visiting CD Projekt Red.
According to a source close to the website, the Poker Face singer visited the studio to perform motion capture for the upcoming game.
