Minor Arcana are a new range of luxury RPG dice sets designed by Tim Roberts of Critical Kit Ltd.
The sets are themed around tarot and include luxury eco-friendly presentation boxes with an embedded coin (d2).
The dice themselves come in 4 styles, each one representing a minor arcana suit: cups, wands, swords and pentacles. Each d20 has a symbol that relates to its respective suit on the 20 faces. They are presented in a luxury box which is made from FSC-certified cards and includes vegan-friendly inks. A small ribbon allows the drawer in the box to slide out, revealing the dice and embedded d2.
The box is designed by Tim Roberts and crafted by Adam Swain of Pillbox Design. Each set comes with a metal coin in brushed bronze effect that contains the relevant symbol for the suit and a flip side with Critical Kit sun and moon iconography. The Kickstarter also includes a specially commissioned minor arcana tarot deck designed by acclaimed Italian tattoo artist, Vincenzo Ingenito. The face of each card is designed in art nouveau style and includes a polyhedral die incorporated into the artwork.
The stretch goals are just as impressive, including luxury dark wood boxes for both the cards and the dice, inlaid with brass in the style of the sun and moon iconography and the Critical Kit helm. This is Critical Kit’s first Kickstarter for dice, but not their first foray into crowdfunding. Last year, they raised £68,000 for the solo RPG, Be Like a Crow, which was fulfilled on time and received great reviews.
