UPDATE ONE: The new June 2019 Clash of Clans update is now live to download on Android and iOS.

However, while the new content has now been released, Supercell has revealed ongoing issues with the new release.

“Builder Hall 9 has arrived along with the Hog Glider and the Lava Launcher! Plus, Legend League redesign, new Practice Mode for brushing up on attacking skills, new Home Village content and much more,” a message from the dev team reads.

This was followed by an update on the ongoing redesign issues for Clash of Clans Legend League, which reads: “We are aware of an issue affecting players under 5000 trophies who are stuck in the “Sign-up to Legend League” screen (since they shouldn’t have the button to sign up to the Legend League) – and are not able to join the normal matchmaking either.

“We are fixing it! We’ll release an optional update to solve this problem and put those players back in the normal matchmaking pool. We will release this patch as soon as possible – sorry for the inconvenience, Chiefs.

“Also, many players are wondering about the 5 attacks instead of 8. When you join the Legend League you may get a reduced number of attacks and defences for the first day (number of attacks/defences is calculated based on the time left in that League Day).

“So tomorrow a full League Day will start and 8 attacks/defences will be available to Legend players as announced earlier!”

ORIGINAL: The next Clash of Clans update looks set to be a big one dropping sometime in June 2019.

But so far, Supercell has not managed to provide any further information on when exactly this new patch will be dropping on Android and iOS.

There were hopes that the Clash of Clans update would receive a release date for this week. However, a recent update from the development team reveals that vital work is still being done to the June expansion.

This includes ridding it of annoying bugs and making sure the release of the June update goes smoothly.

The new message from Supercell explains: “Hi there, Chief! We know you’re anxiously waiting for the June update to go live, but we’re still fixing some bugs and doing a few rounds of testing to make sure everything is in tip-top condition before we push the new update to the app stores.

“That means we cannot lock a release time just yet – but we’re doing this as fast as possible and we’ll keep you posted! Thank you for your patience!”

The good news is that none of the stuff being talked about by the development team sounds like it will delay the new update for long.

Unless a critical bug is discovered during the playtesting phase, fans could see the new content go live very soon. But before that happens, fans should get some kind of announcement from the team, revealing their full release plans.

Supercell has been very forthcoming regarding information on their next significant expansion for Clash of Clans.

This includes detailing some of the major changes being made to the popular Android and iOS title. Supercell has announced that the Research Potion, a brand new Magic Item being released in the June Update, will speed up your Lab Research times by 10x for an hour.

Magic Hammers are also getting a revamp, with Supercell revealing earlier this month: “Magic Hammers offered a powerful new way to upgrade your village.

“These Hammers are so powerful you don’t even need to be a worthy superhero to wield them. However, with great power comes great responsibility…

“With the June Update, there will be a 7-day cooldown on all Magic Hammers. This means that when you purchase a Magic Hammer in the League Shop, there will be a 7-day cooldown period before that same kind of Hammer can be purchased again.

“For example, if you purchase a Hammer of Heroes then you will not be able to purchase another Hammer of Heroes for 7 days. However, you are still able to purchase any of the other Hammers.”

The League Shop is also being tweaked, with the following updates being made:

  • Training Potions will be available for 10 League Medals
  • Research Potions will cost 20 League Medals
  • Builder Potions will now cost 30 League Medals.

And Supercell’s Legend League redesign has also been revealed, with the team hoping to tackle problems with matchmaking. Right now, elite players are seeing issues with finding enough targets to attack, caused by a number of issues.

When you climb to a certain League, the number of bases that are available to attack decreases. Luckily for those affected by this problem, Supercell is changing how multiplayer matchmaking functions when you reach 5000 Trophies.

“When you reach 5000 Trophies, the Attack menu will provide a brand new option. Rather than matching you up against another player, you will be provided with a button to “Opt-In” to the Legend League matchmaking,” Supercell confirms in a new statement.

“When you opt-in, each day everyone in the Legend League will receive a fixed number (8) of attacks and defences. Each attack will be worth up to 40 Trophies, but you cannot lose Trophies when you attack.

“You can perform these attacks at any point, without searching for opponents. Any attacks not used within a League Day are lost. Once a new League Day starts, the number of attacks you get will refresh.

“Like the previous Legend League, each season will still be a month long with each day now called a League Day. Each League Day will reset the number of attacks available and the number of defences your village can take. At the start of each new League Season, trophies will reset to 5000.”
