Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Players Think One Change Would Make Gas Masks Better

Some unhappy Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players are voicing their concerns and frustrations over the use of gas masks in matches.

Some fans of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 think a specific change would serve as a major improvement to the game’s gas mask mechanics. When it comes to using the gas mask during a match, some Warzone 2 fans are getting frustrated when trying to utilize it, and it’s causing many of those players to demand a change.

The Call of Duty franchise remains one of the largest franchises in gaming, and its free-to-play installment Warzone 2 is one of its most popular titles. Many fans of the Call of Duty franchise enjoy jumping into Warzone 2 matches with friends or strangers and experiencing some fun, heart-pounding action. Although Warzone 2 has amassed a substantial player base, sometimes things don’t run as smoothly as they should within the game, and this can cause major frustration for many fans. Not only can this annoy the everyday player, but issues within the game can even cause some popular names in the world of Call of Duty to stand up and voice their concerns.

Two huge names in the Warzone 2 community, ModernWarzone and IceManIsaac, went to Twitter to voice their frustrations about the game’s gas mask mechanics. Thanks to a short clip captured by the content creator, ModernWarzone brought attention to the fact that players cannot put on their gas masks while reloading a weapon which can cause players to die from gas damage. With players being unable to cancel a reload, it can cause an unavoidable death in a match.

IceManIsaac suggested in a tweet that the gas mask should just be able to tick away without interfering with any animations. The tweet by IceManIsaac also insinuated that keeping the gas mask in this state makes the gameplay in Warzone 2 unbalanced. Several players replied to the tweets with their own complaints and stories about how the gas mask mechanics have gotten in the way of their gameplay.

As of right now, there seem to be no plans for a solution to be implemented in the game, leaving Warzone 2 players to just hope that their complaints will eventually be heard. Issues like this can become so frustrating that they can sometimes cause fans to stop playing a game entirely. Although the gas mask issue seems to plague some players, it will hopefully be addressed in the future. Until then, many members of the Call of Duty community are still enjoying the game despite flaws like these, but time will tell if the players who are concerned will get their desired outcome.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S
