Titled as the Battle of Verdansk, this event takes place entirely in Warzone during Season 5, providing a first worldwide look to the upcoming entry in the series, which is situated in the World War II era.

Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal release time in BST, CEST, EDT and PDT explained
The Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal release date is Thursday, August 19th.
This reveal will take place within Warzone as an in-game event under the Battle of Verdansk premise. This was revealed on Tuesday, August 16th via Twitter by the developer:

The release time is as follows:
- UK: 6:30pm (BST)
- Europe: 7:30pm (CEST)
- East Coast US: 1:30pm (EDT)
- West Coast US: 10:30am (PDT)
As per usual with season launches, be prepared for the release times to change in case there’s any last minute changes or setbacks from the developer.

How the Battle of Verdansk event in Warzone works explained
The Battle of Verdansk is the title tag for the upcoming Warzone event where the Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal is taking place.
Developer Raven is yet to share exact details of what to expect, but for the time being, we at least know what to expect:
Teasers continue rampant on social media. The latest confirms some of the elements that will be part of the Battle of Verdansk. These include a new weapon as well as an armored vehicle of sorts. It’s unsure how it will work exactly, but the image includes the premise to “squad up and work together to take it down,” so it may involve more than just your own squad.
In a similar case to other online multiplayer games such as Fortnite, Warzone is jumping into the in-game event bandwagon. Previous to the confirmation by the developer, a Cold War datamine spotted artwork and details of Vanguard, which were shared online before being taken down by Activision.
Additionally, with the release of Season 5, a WW2 soldier can now be seen during the final extraction after finishing a match in Warzone.
