Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players are heading to Brazil, and can expect lots of new modes and The Boys skins in new update.
Modern Warfare 3 may not have launched to critical acclaim back in November, but as it’s still part of one of the most popular game franchises in the world, so lots of people are playing it regardless.
Activision’s latest shooter was only behind EA Sports FC 24 in terms of sales in the UK last month, and a meaty update should help to placate at least some of the more disgruntled fans.
Included in the upcoming update, that goes live January 17, is a new multiplayer map called Rio, three new multiplayer modes, and more from The Boys. The most exciting part of the update is the new map, Rio, which will be playable in the 6v6 multiplayer mode.
It’s a medium-sized map in Rio de Janeiro, inside a shopping centre surrounded by a main street, tram station, and a market.
There are also three new multiplayer modes: Team Gunfight, Headquarters, and Infected.
In Team Gunfight you battle in the traditional 6v6 multiplayer maps, but your loadout randomly changes throughout the match.
Headquarters is about securing an objective and holding the position for as long as possible to gain points.
In the Infected mode one player starts off as infected, with the goal of eliminating and/or infecting other players so they join their side.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023)
Released in November of 2023, Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023) continues Captain Price’s story from the 2019 and 2022 games.
Modern Warfare 3 is also doing another collaboration with hit TV series The Boys, where you can do six challenges in what’s called ‘The Boys: Super Siege Event Challenge.’
If you finish all six challenges you receive the The Boys Special LMG Weapon Blueprint, which comes with a 150-bullet magazine with incendiary ammunition.
Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir skins were already added to the game last year, so naturally, you might want to use those while playing the challenges.

The update will also introduce 4v4 Ranked Play, where you can play more competitive matches with the same settings, maps, and modes as Call Of Duty League.
The update also comes with new challenges in Warzone, including a lights off night-vision goggles on mode in the gulag.
