For those who don’t own Call of Duty Black Ops 4 but are interested in trying out the Battle Royale Blackout mode, your time has come.
A new free trial has started that allows players on PS4, Xbox One and PC download and play the new COD mode.
The official Call of Duty Twitter page and has confirmed that the trial version is available to grab right now.
However, players of the Blackout free trial have confirmed that it is a massive download on all platforms.
Some players are reporting that the new Call of Duty Black Ops 4 free trial is a whopping 65GB, while others are saying it’s higher than that for them to download.
The number goes as high as 85GB, no doubt a tight squeeze for some gamers on the original PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
With the new Blackout trial going live today, it means gamers have a week to try out the mode.
The Blackout Free Trial ends on January 24, 2019, and will likely not be followed by another for some time.
No end time has been announced yet by Activision, although it seems likely that things will wind down by the evening of January 24, in the UK.
“The Blackout Free Trial will feature all the intense action from the game mode that brings together characters, locations, weapons and gear from across the series with Black Ops signature gameplay fans know and love,” a message from Treyarch reads.

- PlayStation®Plus not required for Free Trial (subscription required for certain elements of full game)
