Terry Crews as Jax? The Rock as Shao Khan? Gal Gadot as Kitana? It’s fun to imagine Hollywood stars as Mortal Kombat characters. Well, one artist has put pencil to paper and gone one step further.
Artists Boss Logic has been tweeting some awesome images of famous actors as characters from NetherRealm’s famous fighting game franchise – and most are perfect fits.

Here’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Terry Crews as Jackson “Jax” Briggs, complete with robotic arms. Crews as Jax is such a great fit that Mortal Kombat development chief Ed Boon took to Twitter to add his admiration.
WOW…. @Bosslogic is killing it ! Jax – @terrycrews #mkkollective pic.twitter.com/sXMQFozciE

Better still, Terry Crews himself picked up on Boon’s tweet, declaring: “I would love to do this!”
I WOULD LOVE TO DO THIS!!!??????????

And Boon issued a trademark tease (Jax is so far unconfirmed for Mortal Kombat 11).

Boss Logic’s Terry Crews as Jax image hit the headlines, but he’s also made other similar, equally cool images.
Here’s Gal Gadot as Kitana.

Here’s Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Shao Kahn.

My favourite, though, is Keanu Reeves as blind ninja Kenshi.

I know it’s not the best movie in the world, but I have a soft spot for the Mortal Kombat film. The dialogue is terrible, the special effects definitely do not hold up, and the plot is as nonsensical as the game it’s based upon, but young teen me was impressed by some of the fight scenes. I mean, Johnny Cage versus Scorpion was a real treat.
Terry Crews is no stranger to the world of video games, of course – he’s set to star in Microsoft’s Crackdown 3 next month. And in Mortal Kombat 11, MMA star Ronda Rousey plays Sonya Blade.
What I’m saying is, let’s make this happen!
