Fans eagerly awaiting the release of the first Apex Legends limited-time event have been given disappointing news tonight.
According to Respawn Entertainment, the new Apex Legends update was supposed to go live this morning.
However, issues have arisen that have forced the team to push back the new patch, delaying the Legendary Hunt event time.
Fans have also seen notices on the PS4 platforms suggesting that the new event will not kick off until tomorrow, June 5.
And depending on what time zone you live, that might prove to be true.
UK gamers could certainly see the new Apex Legends update go live very early in the morning on Wednesday, based on today’s delay news.
Here’s more from Respawn who confirms in a new statement: “We hit a slight hiccup this morning while prepping for the patch meant to go live this morning.
“We’re sorting it out and working to get it shipped ASAP.
“We’re sorry for the hold up. This is a bummer but please hang with us, we’ll be providing an update ASAP and I’ll post status to this thread as we get more info.”
That’s all information we have right now, meaning we can’t be sure if the new Legendary event will be kicking off today, or later this week.
Whatever does happen, we can probably expect Respawn to extend the time of the new event, which is set to run for at least two weeks.
The new event will give Apex Legends fans the chance to unlock new skins and earn bonus XP before the end of Season 2.
There will be new challenges, some of which have reportedly leaked early.
